Sylvia was the mum of my best friend of over 40 years. I remember her fun, mischievous personality and particularly remember her laughing her head off at us, as teenagers, trying to be "quiet" as we got in late from a night out when I was staying at theirs. I was so sad to hear that she had developed Alzheimer's and my friend spent the last few years coping with that and seeing the changes in her lovely mum. Sylvia passed away on 29 December and the world has lost a bright spark :(
